WEEK 4: Realistic Art--Beyond my Imaginations

In my point of View, I believe that all artists whether they are amateur, professionals or even the great artists were began their creativity through a particular alteration or distorted art.  Maybe they became professional because of their untiring determination how to improve themselves or just expanded their skills to become accessible and showed alternative way of describing visual experiences as an artist’s….. Until they learned to make a realistic image or realistic art.

As an artist....I admit that I have done a lot of distorted art when I was a beginner. The pulse of my little hands seemed not in control the way it moves especially when I've done some fine  free  strokes and started to drawn my piece of art, so expected  the result …..would be a distorted art.  Naturally I had a feeling of being disappointed of what I have done since I wanted to make it in a realistic one.

So, If  they will  ask me….which do prefer realistic art, alteration or distorted art….Of course, I preferably choose the realistic art. You will notice that most of my artworks are human figures.  At first I was afraid to make a realistic image but I thought, “How do I know my capability, If I will not try it.” That was a big challenge again. I knew that realistic art is one of the hardest things to do. But I said to myself that "there is no harm in trying.” Actually, I might find it hard but through my dedication and fighting spirit I have done it well.

Now, It so happen that I can draw whatever I like especially if I’m in the mood. I can draw more and more…. even in my spare time or not.  When I’m holding a pen, pencil or anything else that can make me inspire to draw… expect for a creation of art…..I’ll promise to do it with my spirit of my own artistic way and beyond my imagination.

I must say that…. I considered myself as a dreamer artist…… I want to see myself as capable of doing realistic art in many ways so that I can used it in my future profession. Until now I continue to pray and give thanks to God for my gifted hands and most of all to my gifted talents.

WEEK 3: Extemporaneous art

I have a lot of experienced to share when it comes to impromptu art.  If I’m not mistaken, during high school I became representative of our school to joined in a competition which organized by San Pablo Lions Club.  That was my very first experienced of somewhat like an impromptu art per se.  As I have remembered, the event organizer had given us time to create artwork through poster making related to the theme which they had given to us.  We utilized pastel oil as medium in our way of creativity which made me trembled because that time I didn't know yet how to apply the stroke and techniques using oil pastel.  I was so nervous because most of my opponents were veterans in that type of contest.  I admit that my confidence was so weak to the fact that I was on the middle of under time pressure.  I didn't know where to start and what kind of artistic way should I draw which may lead to me in a possible winning piece.  It became difficult for me to use it and seemed lack of time to finish my entry. I didn't win the contest but no matter what…. at least I've done my part and It was an honor for me as a competitor representative of our school that time.
My winning entry in 3rd San Pablo Comics Festival

From then on…. I started to develop my skills and talents in various field of arts. Most of all….. one thing that made me realized is that….. Those challenges gave an inspiration to boast my confidence because when I get there I used to do it in manner of expressing my ability in art….. EXPRESS THE STYLE….  I MAKE IN MY OWN UNIQUE STYLE.
First Place in Postermaking

I thought that there’s no big deal weather you’re in a competition or not the important is we must show on what is on our mind then express our fantastic ideas in our own way of creativity.

I discovered also that once you create you can feel the pleasure in doing art. One thing I assure of is that… ART IS REALLY FUN…. in the sense that you can visualize what is on your imagination through artworks.
All I can say is…….We must learn a new skill, more practice and training, build confidence to improve our works,  believe in ourselves, most of all share our talents that GOD given to us. That’s why…..  “ IN SPITE OF THOSE CHALLENGES I WON’T STOP TO EXPRESS MY CAPABILITY IN LINE OF ART.”  Go…. Go… go…. Fun… fun… fun… lets use our talents. (Let’s do the RUBADABANGO!! HAHAHA)
